Orangeries

Orangery Home Extensions Halstead, Essex

For something slightly different to a conventional conservatory, an orangery could provide the perfect solution. Designed to work with the original architecture of your home or building, the roof structure of an orangery is different to that of a conservatory: it’s made from a glazed lantern with a section of flat roof around the perimeter.

What this means is that there is less glass in the roof; it can be angled lower than a regular conservatory, to the point where it is almost flat.  Stylistically, this means it blends in much more easily with your home, yet it is still eye-catching and attractive when viewed from the outside.

An Orangery is much more of a traditional build in comparison to a conservatory and normally will undergo more building regulation approval, notice to build and SAP approval.  The Orangery is basically a traditional, atrium-style conservatory, but with advanced technology from Ultraframe. With an orangery, your adjoining rooms flood with light and there’s a feeling of grandeur that comes from the interior height of the orangery.

The orangery can also be combined with the Livinroom system, meaning that you can easily install spotlights to give your new room a stylish yet practical finish.
